The space

The living room has a large seating area with two three-seater sofas plus an alcove with a large dining table and chairs.  The family room can be used as a separate third bedroom (using the sofa-bed that converts easily to a kingsize bed) or as a study/second reception room. It also has a desk in case you need to work or to have a separate computer space. 

Both have TVs and excellent wifi speeds. 

The upstairs bedrooms are light and airy with full size windows (plus an additional Velux in one) and blanket boxes forming window seats.  The windows are all double-glazed but, for extra soundproofing, there are total blackout shutters on both bedroom front windows.

The bathroom is upstairs and has a toilet and bath with a powerful hot shower over, and there is a second toilet and washbasin downstairs.

The garden is laid to gravel and fully enclosed, accessed via the kitchen door, 5m along the driveway to the garden gate. The school playing field beyond could be used for dog walking but this is discouraged by the school.


Guest access

The mainline station is a 5 minutes walk away or there is space to park 2 regular sized cars carefully at the back of the property with further free parking if needed in a nearby carpark.


Other things to note

As with many old properties the stairs are quite steep and narrow and may not be suitable for very young children or those with mobility issues. There are stair gates fitted at the top and bottom but visitors, parents and carers should assess any possible risks for themselves.

Rates are per night for 2 people, £15 per night for each additional person, but children under 12 and dogs go free.  Minimum 2 nights (3 nights at some peak times). 

10% discount for 7 nights or more.
